Twelve Days, Built With Gaps In Them

Long enough to get over the flight, slow enough that nobody is dragged anywhere, and varied enough that the teenagers and the grandparents both get a day that is theirs. Beach time and boat days are in here on purpose.

Travel at a pace that suits you, with handpicked experiences that go beyond the guidebook—so you can see more, feel more, and travel with meaning.

What Makes This Journey Special

Room to Do Nothing

Days built with gaps in them, because children need those and so, it turns out, do you.

Rowed by Foot

The boatwomen of Tam Coc row with their feet. Children find this excellent.

Making a Lantern

An hour in Hoi An that produces something worth carrying home.

Into the Canals

A sampan narrow enough to touch both banks at once.

Your Journey, Day by Day

Day 1Arrive in Hanoi

A private transfer, an early dinner and a sensible bedtime.

Day 2Hanoi for Beginners

Cyclos through the Old Quarter, water puppets, and egg coffee for whoever wants it.

Day 3Hanoi, Hands On

A short cooking class in the morning and a park afternoon with nothing planned.

Day 4South to Ninh Binh

Out of the city, then a rowing boat through the caves at Tam Coc.

Day 5Bikes and Buffalo

Village cycling, a goat farm, and a long afternoon by the pool.

Day 6Back to Hanoi, Then the Coast

A morning stop on the way north and an afternoon flight south to Da Nang, then 45 minutes by road to Hoi An.

Day 7Hoi An, Lanterns and Bicycles

The Ancient Town on two wheels, and a lantern to make before dinner.

Day 8Beach Day
A family walking along the beach near Hoi An

MorningNothing booked. Breakfast whenever everyone actually wakes up.

AfternoonAn Bang beach — loungers and a long lunch. Sea conditions change with the season, so your guide checks them on the day and advises where it is sensible to swim.

OvernightFamily rooms a short cycle from both the beach and the town.

Day 9Basket Boats and a Kitchen

The coconut palms at Cam Thanh in the morning, cooking together after.

Day 10Fly to Saigon

A last Hoi An morning, then the city and an evening in District 1.

Day 11Into the Mekong Delta

A sampan through the canals, a fruit orchard and lunch with a family, then a night at a garden lodge among the orchards.

Day 12A Thoughtful Farewell

Breakfast in the garden, then the two-hour drive back to Ho Chi Minh City for your flight. Afternoon and evening departures suit this day best.

Four places in twelve days,
with longer stays and fewer
hotel changes than most tours.

Ways to Personalize

Match the Ages

We rebuild the days around a five-year-old very differently than around a fifteen-year-old.

More Beach, Less Moving

Cut a stop and add the nights to Hoi An.

Rooms That Work

Connecting rooms, family suites or a villa with its own kitchen.

Add a Grandparent Pace

Shorter days and lifts where the walking would be long.

Before You Plan

What ages does this suit?

It has been shaped for roughly six and up. Younger than that works too, but we would cut a destination rather than shorten the days.

Is there enough downtime?

Days 5, 8 and most afternoons are deliberately empty. If it still looks busy to you, say so and we will take something out.

Are the domestic flights included?

Yes, the Hanoi–Da Nang and Da Nang–Saigon flights are part of this journey. International flights are not.

Can we split up for a day?

Easily. A second guide and car for a day means the teenagers can go kayaking while everyone else has a slow morning.

Shape It Around Your Family

Tell us your dates, pace and interests, and Rose will shape the details around you.
