Sample routes are a starting point

The journeys published here are illustrative examples of how a trip can be shaped. Routes, day-by-day outlines, hotel categories and durations are shown to give you a feel for the pace and the places, not as a fixed product on sale. Every journey we design is rebuilt around your dates, interests and party.

What we do, and who provides your travel services

Journeys by Rose is a travel design and advisory service. We listen, research, shape a route around you and stay with you through the planning. We are not a tour operator and we do not sell travel services ourselves.

The travel itself — accommodation, cruises, transport, guides, activities and any domestic flights — is contracted, booked and operated by a licensed Vietnamese tour operator, who is the provider of those services and your counterparty for them. That operator is named in your written proposal, together with their terms, before you are asked to commit to anything or pay anything.

An enquiry is not a booking

Sending a form on this site does not reserve any travel service, confirm availability, create a contract or take payment. It starts a conversation.

Prices shown here are indicative

Any figure on this website is a guide to the level a journey tends to sit at, per person sharing a twin room, and does not include international flights. The price that binds is the one written in your personal proposal, after we have checked live availability and current supplier rates for your exact dates.

Your proposal carries the booking terms

Before you commit to anything, we send a written proposal setting out what is included, the deposit and balance schedule, cancellation and amendment terms, and what happens if a supplier changes a service. Nothing is booked until you have read those terms and confirmed in writing that you accept them.

Travel insurance

We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance covering medical care, repatriation and cancellation, arranged as soon as you commit to a trip. Journeys by Rose does not sell insurance.

Things outside anyone’s control

Weather, road and river conditions, sea state, flight schedules and local regulations can change at short notice in Vietnam, particularly during the rainy season. When that happens the operator rearranges affected days to the closest equivalent available, and we tell you promptly and help you weigh the options. Your proposal explains how costs are handled in those situations.
