Who we are
Journeys by Rose is a tailor-made travel design and advisory service based in Hanoi, Vietnam, run personally by Rose. We design journeys; the travel itself is booked and operated by a licensed Vietnamese tour operator, named in your proposal. If you have any question about your information, write to info@journeysbyrose.com and Rose will answer you directly.
What we collect
Only what you choose to type into our enquiry, contact or journey planner forms: your name, email address, country of residence, approximate travel dates, party size, budget range and the preferences or notes you write for us. We do not collect payment card details anywhere on this website.
How your message reaches us
When you send a form, it is transmitted over an encrypted connection to our own enquiry system, where Rose reads it and replies from info@journeysbyrose.com. The journey planner and the journey personalisation pages have several steps. Once you have given us your email address and ticked the box agreeing to this notice, your part-finished answers reach the same system even if you close the page before pressing send, so that Rose can pick the conversation up with you. Before those two things are true, nothing you have typed leaves your own browser. Nothing you send is published on the website or shared with other travellers.
Draft progress saved in your browser
While you work through the multi-step planner, your structured selections (dates, interests, pace) may be stored in your own browser so that refreshing the page does not lose your progress. That draft stays on your device, is never uploaded on its own, and clearing your browser data removes it.
Why we use it
To answer your enquiry, ask the follow-up questions a good itinerary needs, and prepare a personal proposal. We do not sell your information, we do not pass it to advertisers, and we do not add you to a marketing list without asking you first.
Who else is involved
Running a website and an inbox means a small number of service providers necessarily handle your message in transit: Cloudflare hosts this site and delivers email sent to our addresses, and Google provides the mailbox Rose reads. Where an itinerary requires it, and only once you ask us to proceed, we share the details a supplier needs — for example a hotel needs guest names and dates.
Because we are not the operator, going ahead with a trip means passing your booking details to the licensed Vietnamese tour operator who will contract and run it. They are named in your proposal and handle that information under their own privacy terms, which we send you at the same time. Nothing is passed to them while you are only enquiring or planning.
Some of these providers are outside Vietnam, so your information may be handled in another country. We share only what a given provider needs for its part of your trip, and we do not sell your information or use it for advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry correspondence while we are planning with you and for a reasonable period afterwards, so that we can pick up where we left off if you come back. Ask us at info@journeysbyrose.com and we will delete your details or send you a copy of what we hold.
What not to send us
Please do not send passport scans, payment card numbers, or health and insurance documents through a general enquiry form. When a booking genuinely needs those details, we will tell you a secure way to provide them.
Cookies and measurement
This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies and does not profile you across other websites.
